WEDNESDAY, JUNE 8, 2011. 1 PM - 5:30 PM. TRADE ONLY EVENTS.
The Rhone Rangers are once again partnering with the Smithsonian's Natural History Museum for two days of events in June.  The afternoon events on Wednesday, June 8, are for invited members of the trade and media. If you are a wine retailer, wholesaler, distributor, broker, restaurateur,  sommelier, or a published member of the wine media, please email us at info@rhonerangers to request information and/or an invitation.

WEDNESDAY, JUNE 8, 2011. 7:30 PM. WINEMAKER DINNER - OPEN TO THE PUBLIC.
Willow Restaurant, 4301 N. Fairfax Drive, Arlington, VA will be holding an informal walk-around small plates dinner for several Rhone Rangers wineries; each plate will be paired with a different wine. Members of the public will be invited to purchase tickets as soon as they are available.  More details to be announced shortly.

THURSDAY, JUNE 9, 2011. 6:45 - 8:15 PM. SEMINARS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC. The purchase of a ticket includes admission to one seminar plus the Wine & Dine Reception.

SEMINAR #1: THE GULF AND ITS SEAFOOD – ONE YEAR LATER, 6:45 PM, Baird Auditorium A round-table discussion with ocean scientists, educators, and special guest, environmental activist and actor Ted Danson, focusing on the marine ecosystem in the Gulf, the impact of the oil spill on seafood, and long-term questions that remain. TICKETS $95/EA ARE AVAILABLE.  Purchase of a ticket to this seminar includes admission to the Wine & Dine Reception immediately following the seminar.

SEMINAR #2: GREEN RANGERS--Sustainable, Organic and Biodynamic American Rhones, 6:45 PM, Executive Conference Room.
This tasting seminar will be moderated by Dave McIntyre, Wine Columnist, The Washington Post, and will focus on a variety of sustainably-produced American Rhone wines from these wineries: AmByth Estate, Beckmen Vineyards, Kenneth Volk Vineyards, Rocca Family Wines and Stolpman Vineyards. SORRY, THIS SEMINAR IS SOLD OUT.
 

THE OCEAN AND ITS BOUNTY – WINE & DINE RECEPTION. 8:15 – 10 PM - OPEN TO THE PUBLIC
Over 30 of Washington’s best-known chefs will create succulent seafood specialties to be paired with our wines. The event takes place in the Exhibition Halls and the Atrium Café.
